The Military servicemen of the Georgian Armed Forces got involved in a new disaster-affected area today. Due to heavy rain the river Dighmula flooded the part of the village Dighomi.
Defence Minister of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli and Chief of General Staff of the GAF, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze personally viewed the ongoing recovery works in the village Dighomi and familiarized with the cleaning-up activities carried out by the Georgian military.
Currently, the personnel of IV Mechanized Brigade is working on the ground. The military are assisting the local population to clean-up the houses and the river Dighmula gorge.
